Isaiah 40:29 - He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Some days feel like an uphill battle. You take one step forward, only to feel like you’ve been pushed two steps back. You’re doing your best to stay strong, keep smiling, and push through, but deep down, you’re tired. And if you’re honest, you might feel like you’re running on empty.
We try to fix things ourselves. We strategize, overthink, and come up with plans A, B, and C, just in case God doesn’t come through. But what if strength wasn’t something we had to manufacture? What if it was something God gave?
Isaiah reminds us that God doesn’t expect us to do life on our own. He promises to give us strength when we’re weak. He meets us in our weariness and fills us with His power, real, sustaining, supernatural strength.
Psalm 18:32 - It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
There’s a better way than just pushing through on your effort. When you’ve done all you know to do and you’re still coming up short, turn to God and allow Him to be your strength. It starts by acknowledging your need and simply asking.
Psalm 28:7 - The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.
David didn’t pretend to have it all together. He boldly declared that God was his strength, and that declaration changed everything. When you trust in God as your strength, He helps you. He strengthens your heart and fills your soul with peace.
So if you’re feeling weary today, stop and declare: “My God gives strength to the weary, and He gives strength to me.”
You don’t have to figure it all out. You don’t have to carry the weight alone. God never intended for you to walk through this life without Him. He’s with you, He’s for you, and He’s ready to help you walk in victory.
Ephesians 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Not strong in yourself. Not strong in willpower. Strong in Him. Because His power never runs out. When you tap into His strength, you can stand strong, no matter what comes your way.
5 Bible Verses that will give you strength.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that you would strengthen me today and help me to focus on You and not the circumstances I am going through today. I thank you for giving me strength in times of weariness. I am thankful that I don’t have to face life's situations alone. You said you would strengthen me, I believe that, and I receive your strength into my life. I declare that I am strong in the Lord today, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
