Dear Church Family,

As we step into a new year, I want to personally invite you to join us in fasting together as a church. In years past, we’ve taken time at the beginning of the year to pause, seek the Lord, and realign our hearts—and this year our 21-day fast begins on January 12th.

As I’ve been praying about this time, one verse keeps coming to mind—Philippians 1:6: And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

The start of a new year often brings new goals and fresh intentions. Maybe it’s praying more, spending more time in God’s Word, or growing deeper in your walk with Him. Those are good things. But I want to remind you, we don’t do this on our own. Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). The work He started in you, He is faithful to finish.

When we fast and pray, we actively make room in our lives to listen to God’s voice and respond to His call. This isn’t just about giving up food or comfort, and it’s not about checking off a religious box. It’s about making prayer our priority and saying yes to the invitation to depend more fully on Him.

Whatever you choose to fast over these 21 days, I encourage you to commit to being in God’s presence, to feast on His Word, worship Him daily, and remove excess clutter from your life so you can truly listen to what the Lord is speaking to your heart.

I am so excited for what God is going to do in you and through you, church family. My prayer is that you grow deeper in your love for Him and find clarity, strength, and renewal as you seek Him.

With love and expectation,
Pastor Bob
