Matthew 11:28 - "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Life can be difficult, and it's easy to become weighed down by burdens and worries. If we’re not careful, we can get so used to carrying these heavy loads that we don't even realize it. However, Scripture reminds us to come to Jesus. You may think, "I’ve already done that—I’m born again." That’s true, but coming to Jesus isn't a one-time event. We can continually go to Him for grace, strength, rest, and peace.
As believers, we can still grow weary, even while doing the “right” things—attending church, serving, praying, and more.
Galatians 6:9 - "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Notice that the Bible says not to grow weary while doing good. You don’t have to be doing something wrong to feel drained. But here’s the good news: living in weariness is not God’s plan for your life. He desires for you to experience victory, joy, and peace. God has promised supernatural relief and rest to those who will receive it.
Are you feeling troubled on every side? Are the pressures of life weighing you down? Do you need relief from stress, anxiety, or worry? If so, Jesus says, "Come to Me, hear My voice, step into My presence, and experience My grace and strength."
However, experiencing His peace requires a willingness to exchange your turmoil for His rest.
Matthew 11:29-30 - "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
This means coming to Jesus, submitting to His Word, and allowing Him to guide you daily. Aren’t you thankful that God has provided a way for you to be free from the pressures of this life?
You don’t have to live stressed and worn out. You can come to Jesus and receive His strength and peace. He will lift your burdens and fill you with His rest.
Isaiah 26:3 - "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I cast my cares upon You because I know You care for me. I choose to let go of worries, fears, and doubts. I submit my life to Your Word and set my mind on Jesus. I receive Your peace in my life today. Thank you for helping me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
