Robert Claffey – Senior Pastor

I am a 1992 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and I am licensed and ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International. Together with my wife, Kerri, we pioneered the church in September 1992.  We have three children, Andrew, Adam, and Katelyn.

My passion is to express the true heart of God. Many people have misguided perceptions of who God is, leaving them with wrong conclusions about His character. I believe that everyone should know how much God loves and cares about them and that He wants only the very best for them.

I have a practical approach when teaching the principles of faith, bringing clarity to believers, thus enabling them to apply the Word of God, to walk in victory and receive God’s best.

Chad Rieflin - Worship Leader

I first came to VCC in 1995, the same year I married my beautiful wife, Jennifer.  I was saved at a Nicky Cruz crusade when I was four years old. I still remember the exact moment thirty years later! Something that may surprise people about me is that I am a closet Van Halen fan, shhh…don’t tell anyone! I have been married since August 13, 1995 and have two children who keep me on my toes – Landon and Cosette. I love ministering through worship because I see the joy and peace that comes over people as God begins working in them and showing Himself faithful. The Lord has been teaching me recently that He is always pulling us to a higher place and wants us to grow beyond the place that we are at right now.

Chris & Heather Mirrione – RoadHouse Youth Leaders

We have attended VCC since 2002 and began leading the Road House youth ministry in 2005. Many people don’t know that we were high school sweethearts.  Now we are married and have one amazing son, Aaron. My wife Heather is also very involved in the media ministry and does a great job managing all of VCC’s various media needs. Our favorite part about youth ministry is seeing teens mature and their lives change through the power of the gospel (and having fun doing it!). The Lord has shown us that His grace is always sufficient and His faithfulness can always be counted on.

Ed & Heather Bremer - Kids Church Leaders

I came to the Lord in June 1977.  Earlier that year my parents got saved through a neighbor and I saw a change in my parents and wanted to accept Jesus into my own life. My wife Heather was led to the Lord 10 years later by her sister.

Heather & I began attending VCC in the spring of 2005. We have 2 daughters, Jenni and Shannon.

As Kids Church leaders, we oversee the kids programs and events. We continue to have a heart for kids probably because we ourselves love kid things. I have a pet tarantula and Heather never really outgrew a love for Legos!  I believe this helps us relate to the kids in our ministry.

We love the excitement kids have about Jesus. We want to see that excitement grow and develop in them so that they will walk with Jesus all the days of their lives and will do great and awesome things for Him. Children have such potential.  We get to help mold them into the men and women of God they are becoming.  One day they will be the Billy Grahams, Max Lucados and Amy Grants of their generation.  They will do amazing things for God and it's humbling to think that we get to have a part in teaching them the things they will need to know in order to do them.

Calvin Vance – Men’s Ministry Leader

My lovely wife of 27 years, Pamela, and I came to VCC in March of 2007. We have one son and two granddaughters.

I came to the Lord at the age of 11.  My parents raised 6 children in the church and it didn’t take long for me to realize that I would always want Christ in my life.

What I love most about leading the Men's Ministry is the awesome experience of being with men who share a love for the Lord.  I strongly believe that the men of our churches need to come together for fellowship, instruction and to develop a strong bond with one another.  Our young men and boys need to see positive role models in their lives and we as the men of the church need to be those role models.

The Lord has shown me that revival doesn't start with a movement...it has to start with me and other individuals coming together and using the power of prayer to change not only our lives, but the world.

Now for something which may surprise others to know about me (now don't laugh) I would love to learn ballroom dancing!
